Meet Wendy

Ever since I was a young girl, I’ve had a passion for doing good and serving. I’d bring home stray animals (much to the dismay of my parents), and volunteer to run errands for the seniors in our neighborhood. As I grew older, my unrealized dream was to start a non-profit organization for those less fortunate than myself. I’ve always been a creative person, and that coupled with my passion for helping people, and love of our culture is what started my journey fundraising with African American Expressions products.

I started fundraising for our church and a few other organizations in the Greater Pittsburgh area, until God opened up an opportunity for our family to relocate to Charlotte, NC. Once relocated and retired, I allowed myself to really let my creative juices flow and started getting involved with diamond art painting and creating holiday wreaths, and other crafting hobbies. Once I was reintroduced to AAE through their enhanced affiliate program, it was a natural progression for me to become involved.

I have a passion for God and creative expression first, and entrepenuership second. I consider myself to be a woman of God with a love of African American culture, so those things are what fuel my desire to share God’s love and the beauty of our culture with the world.
